The most significant portrait photographer in the 20th century in Canada was Yousuf Karsh. A new exhibit was opened in Halifax to showcase the famed photographer’s works. This was done because Karsh captured revealing and defining images of the world’s most influential figures.

The new history is called “The World of Yousuf Karsh: A Private Essence.” It comprises over 100 portraits of significant figures of the 20th century.

Karsh came to Canada for the first time in 1924 as an Armenian refugee at 15 years of age. Canada Immigration Express concluded that the new exhibition in Halifax is a fantastic story about a refugee and his incredible contributions to Canada.
