Michael Doyle made the post after a neighbor told him the little boy needed help to be able to play hockey. Once Doyle tweeted the request, he was blown away by the response.

Bai was born in Syria but relocated to Iraq when his homeland’s civil war made it too dangerous to live there. His mother, sisters, and brother moved to St. John’s, Canada, in 2019. He now has a home with the Avalon Celtics hockey team.
Bai recently commented, “I like hockey because I like my team. My team is really good at hockey.” His team was victorious in a Christmas tournament, and he won his first gold medal. He wants to be a coach someday. He told his plans to Doyle last week and the hockey dad was so happy to hear the plans.
